Located at the intersection of Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn, this 2,500-square-foot penthouse was designed for a young family seeking a home that balanced contemporary architecture with warmth, character, and personality. While the new development offered generous proportions and high-quality finishes, it lacked the architectural richness the clients were after. Our approach was to introduce thoughtful interventions—including a custom Noir St. Laurent marble fireplace, wall moldings, limewashed walls, and expressive wallpaper—to create depth while respecting the home's clean, modern framework.
Sculptural lighting, curated artwork, and a mix of custom furnishings and vintage-inspired details bring together decorative and contemporary influences in equal measure. The result is a home that feels layered and highly personal—refined without feeling precious, where bold moments are balanced by calm, neutral backdrops and every piece has space to breathe.
