The New Design Project is a Brooklyn-based interior design studio, founded in 2013 by James Davison and Fanny Abbes.

Our work is guided by a belief that great interiors balance visual impact with the lived experience of a space. Rather than adhering to a particular style, we bring our own creative perspective to each project, drawing on the individual tastes and personalities of our clients and a deep understanding of how they live. Our interiors are characterized by a considered layering of furniture, lighting, textiles, art and accessories, with designer pieces sitting alongside custom furnishings and vintage finds.

We work across the United States as well as internationally. Our work has been featured in Architectural Digest, ELLE Decor, Wallpaper*, Interior Design and Dezeen.
